This Privacy Policy explains how Reverse-It ("the App"), developed by Very Good Studio ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your information. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data We Collect
The App collects the following data only when you use Remote Play. The standard party game mode (local play) collects no data whatsoever.
- Audio recordings — your voice recordings are stored in your personal iCloud account (CloudKit) so other players in your group can hear them during a game. They are never sent to us or any third party.
- Display name — the in-game name you choose is stored in your iCloud account so other group members can see it. This is chosen and controlled by you.
- Apple ID (opaque identifier) — an anonymous identifier provided by Apple (not your email address) is used to manage group membership and leaderboard records. We cannot identify you from this identifier.
2. How We Use Your Data
Data collected for Remote Play is used exclusively to provide the multiplayer functionality: syncing recordings between players, managing group membership, and displaying in-game leaderboards. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
3. iCloud & CloudKit
Remote Play data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. We do not operate our own servers — your data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. You can delete all Remote Play data by removing the app and clearing the associated iCloud data from your device settings.
See Apple's Privacy Policy for full details on CloudKit.
4. Advertising
The free version of the App displays adverts provided by Google AdMob. We have disabled personalised advertising — adverts are contextual only and are not targeted using your personal data or device identifiers. No data is shared with Google for tracking purposes.
See Google's Privacy Policy for further information on how AdMob operates.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect: email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, browsing history, contacts, health data, payment information, or any device identifiers for tracking. The App does not use cookies or cross-app tracking.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data is shared only in the following limited ways:
- With other players in your Remote Play group — limited to your display name and audio recordings, as required for gameplay.
- With Apple, as part of normal CloudKit and App Store operations.
7. Data Retention
Remote Play data in CloudKit persists until you leave the group or delete the app. You can remove all iCloud data at any time via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud on your device. Local game data (scores, settings) is deleted when you uninstall the App.
8. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. Because most data is stored in your personal iCloud account, you also have direct control to delete it yourself at any time.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
